Why Horses?

Horses are highly responsive to their surroundings and to the people interacting with them. Their reactions can provide immediate, nonverbal feedback about communication, boundaries, trust, and connection.

Working with a horse moves therapy beyond conversation and into experience. Clients have opportunities to practice new ways of communicating, setting boundaries, managing emotions, and building trust in real time. Those experiences can then be explored with the therapist and connected to relationships and challenges outside the arena.
